NPS Teachers Make A Difference

Earlier this fall, the following email was sent to Ms. Grodus from a former student.  It is edited and reprinted with permission from the author.

Hey this is Libby Schooley. :D I thought I would share something with you. I just started college and my first writing assignment was a literacy narrative. We were asked to write about a time when our views on reading or writing was changed. I chose to write about you and the impact you made in my writing. Even though I hated how many writing assignments you gave us my junior year, I just wanted to say thank you! You really did make a difference in the way I write and I am truly grateful for that. Without you, I don’t think I would have gotten an A on my first college paper :D You are a great teacher and by far one of my favorites.

NPS Teachers make a difference.  It is not always about a standardized test score.  It is about preparing our students for life beyond the K-12 setting.  Thanks for sharing this with us Libby!
